Get a makeover!

I love you, I really do. I love you just as you are and I don't want to change anything about you. It's you that makes you you.

Now, go get a makeover.

The next few blog posts are going to be about making you over from head to toe. Yay! I love a good makeover. Seriously, though, I am not talking about drastic hair cuts or major style overhauls, I am just going to be touching on some of the finer points of grooming and wardrobe selecting that are so important in the career of a model.

When I signed my first modeling contract, I had ombré hair and I loved it. But I was realistic in that I knew the jobs I would be booking would require a more clean cut, mom-ish, polished look so I got rid of the ombré and went back to all one color. That was a good choice for me.

But what about you? Do you have an edgy style that you're not willing to tone down? Then DON'T! The key here is to be you but, at the same time, maintain that "I just did my hair and nails" you. So now split ends or grown-out roots!

And hair is a great place to start. The key to getting hired (and rehired) is to look like your pictures. If you take digitals with long blonde hair, get booked and show up with a bob, the client is not going to be happy.

MY WORDS OF WISDOM: If you like to change your hair often, make sure you send digitals to your agent with your new style.

I had a great opportunity to work with Vanity Fair on a segment called "Invitation to Ride" where I interviewed Bria Vinaite about her starring roles in The Florida Project. Bria is a perfect example of what I am talking about...she's a gorgeous, free-spirited, sweet, talented actor and she has a completely different look in every picture that I see of her - her hair color is different (and awesome), her essence is different which makes her super versatile. If that reminds you of,, then my advice is keep being YOU and keep your digitals updated with your agent.
